Learner Conduct Policy
HSE Counsel is committed to providing a professional, safe, and respectful learning environment for all participants, whether they are new clients, existing clients, or employees of client organisations. All learners attending training courses or workshops are expected to behave in a manner that supports effective learning, respects the rights of others, and complies with instructions provided by HSE Counsel trainers or facilitators. This includes arriving on time, engaging fully with course activities, and adhering to any pre-course instructions or requirements.
Disruptive, unsafe, or unprofessional behaviour will not be tolerated. HSE Counsel reserves the right to address any conduct that may compromise the learning experience, safety, or wellbeing of others. In circumstances where a learner’s behaviour is considered inappropriate, unsafe, or in breach of this policy, HSE Counsel may remove the learner from the session. Removal may be immediate and at the discretion of the trainer or facilitator, and no refund or credit will be provided in such cases. This applies equally to both new learners and existing clients participating in training programmes.
Learners are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate knowledge, skills, and preparation required to participate safely in practical or hands-on sessions. This includes complying with any health and safety guidelines, or course-specific regulations. HSE Counsel may refuse participation where a learner is deemed unfit to safely engage in the activities, or where their presence could compromise the safety or learning experience of others.
HSE Counsel expects learners to treat all other participants, staff, and third parties with courtesy and respect at all times. Any concerns or grievances should be raised promptly and through the appropriate channels, as outlined in the Feedback and Complaints Policy. By participating in HSE Counsel training, learners acknowledge that adherence to this Learner Conduct Policy is a condition of engagement and continued participation, and that it applies to all learners, including existing clients, new clients, and representatives from client organisations.
